Pam Mood
Pam Mood comes to us from her hometown of Yarmouth, NS and the place she calls the best piece of real estate on earth. In 2001 she left the RCMP after 18 years and opened Pam Mood Consulting and has been speaking internationally ever since. Her topics include everything from leadership sessions to team building, strategic planning, civility in the workplace and everything in between. She is also serving her fourth term (in her 14th year) as Mayor of Yarmouth. She’s served on boards throughout Canada, has travelled as part of her work across our beautiful country, to Washington and other states, and as far away as the Middle East. The mom of three grown children and grandma of three precious gifts, she’s still young at heart, has a wild sense of humor and encourages people to challenge their potential and make life fun. Rami Wehbe is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of GlobalDWS Corporation, with more than 20 years of experience leading innovation and digital transformation initiatives across complex sectors. His work focuses on applying AI, robotics, IoT, automation, and digital twin technologies to create smarter care environments, smarter buildings, and more resilient operations.
At GlobalDWS, Rami leads the advancement of Smart LTC and Smart Building solutions, including GraceBot, an AI-enabled social robot platform designed to enhance engagement and support in care environments, and VirBrix, a digital twin and reality intelligence platform for 3D mapping, smart infrastructure, and operational insight. He has also led major robotics and intelligent technology deployments in Canada, helping organizations move from innovation discussions to practical implementation.
Rami helped pioneer Canada’s first disinfection service robot during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to champion responsible, real-world adoption of AI and robotics across healthcare, long-term care, finance, mining, education, and engineering. Prior to GlobalDWS, he held senior consulting and technology leadership roles at BMO Financial Group. He has studied at Middle East Technical University, McGill, York, Toronto, Harvard, and MIT, and holds more than 60 technical certifications.

This session will explore current and emerging issues in continuing care and resident support through a legal lens. Noella Martin and Danielle Hargreaves will share insights on key considerations for employers and care providers, with time for participant questions.
About Noella Martin
Noella Martin
Noella is well known to CCANS’ members. She has been practicing law in Nova Scotia since 1991 and has acted for long-term care clients over that entire course.
Noella has represented employers at virtually every type of labour or employment-related hearing, including at the Labour Board, arbitrations and all levels of court. Noella has acted as chief spokesperson in collective bargaining and has appeared before and been a member of interest arbitration boards.
In addition to labour and employment law and long-term care issues, Noella has been very involved in issues affecting Nova Scotia’s Acadian heritage. She appeared as counsel for the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial at the Supreme Court of Canada in a matter arising out of minority language education rights and more recently was part of the team that successfully required the Province to revisit the issue of Chéticamp becoming its own electoral district.
The publication “Best Lawyers in Canada” has recognized Noella annually since 2012 for her practice in Administrative and Public Law.
Noella is a member of the Board of the Ship Hector Society, an organization devoted to restoring the Ship Hector, based in Pictou.
About Danielle Hargreaves
Danielle Hargreaves
Danielle Hargreaves holds a Juris Doctor, a certificate in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law, and a certificate in Criminal Justice from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law (2025), a Master of Arts in History from Brock University (2014), and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in History from Mount Saint Vincent University (2012). Danielle speaks annually at conferences on racism and human rights.
In 2022, Danielle left her ten-year career with the Victorian Order of Nurses to pursue her Juris Doctor. At Schulich, she volunteered with ProBono Dalhousie, was Chair of the CBA-NS Law Student Section, and was both Co-President of the Schulich Social Committee, and the Dalhousie Mature Law Students’ Association. in 2024 she was awarded the Eunice W. Beeson Memorial Prize. She is now an Articled Clerk at Burchell Wickwire Bryson LLP.
Danielle is has served with the Reserves for eighteen years. In 2019, Danielle received the Commander National Cadet and Junior Canadian Rangers Support Group Commendation for significant contributions to the CAF. In 2022, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.

Reza Jannati
Reza Jannati is the Occupational Health and Safety Content and Administrative Support Specialist at AWARE-NS, where he contributes to the development of safety resources, internal systems, and organizational communications.
Since 2018, Reza has built a strong foundation in occupational and environmental health and safety risk management through academic research, administrative leadership, and field experience. His work includes human factors engineering, safety audits, and regulatory compliance across healthcare, education, and other service-oriented sectors.
He holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Bachelor’s in Occupational Hygiene Engineering.
Outside of work, Reza enjoys hiking, backpacking, live music, and connecting with others through board games and shared experiences.

Beth Barczyk
Beth Barczyk is an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor with AWARE-NS who has 14+ years of experience in the long-term care sector.
Beth’s experiences in Workforce, Hospitality, and Support Services adds to the organizational diversity of the AWARE-NS team.
Beth’s willingness to work hard and her love of learning led her to become a university student once again, completing an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate through the University of New Brunswick.
Aside from her work-related interests, Beth enjoys gardening, travelling, 4-wheeling, and summers on the back deck.
